NOVEMBER ARTIST OF THE MONTH- HAUS OF LUCY
I first encountered Lucy's work at the 2024 London Art Fair at the Barge House, Oxo Tower. Her art, displayed on the top floor, blew me away with its satirical and poignant take on consumerism and the decline of the high street. The punk spirit in her beautifully crafted ceramics was so relatable and cool, I instantly fell in love with her work. When I launched my Artist of the Month, I reached out to Lucy for an art exchange. I visited her stunning home, filled with her handmade ceramics and tiles, and we spent time talking about punk, art, and the importance of supporting each other as artists. I photographed her with one of her unique tea mugs, and in exchange, she gave me a print of her piece "All Shopped Out," which I’m thrilled to include in my November Patreon prize draw. It’s a thought-provoking and funny piece that will make a fantastic addition to anyone’s home. I’m proud to have connected with Lucy and excited to share her work with my community.
NOVEMBER'S ART PRIZE -
ALL SHOPPED OUT by HAUS OF LUCY
Remember when you went to the big shops and spent all day in Primark and came home with so much stuff you couldn’t even remember what you’d bought?
It goes without saying it’s no bad thing that fast fashion is on its last legs for both environmental and moral reasons...
